Bethann is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  She works on income tax issues affecting individuals, estates, and trusts and trust creation, funding, and estate administration.

JoAnne Wallace McIntosh

PARTNER

BIO

JoAnne McIntosh assists clients with all of their estate planning needs, ranging from those who just need simple wills and trusts to others requiring extremely complex tax planning. Her tax planning practice includes advising business owners, especially with business succession planning. Her practice also encompasses guiding clients through the probate process including fiduciary litigation.  

In addition to her estate planning and probate practice, JoAnne McIntosh has over 20 years experience working on federal tax issues affecting individuals, trusts, corporations, partnerships, and charitable entities. She represents both individual and corporate clients in both civil and criminal federal tax matters in U.S. District Court, U.S Tax Court and administrative proceedings with the IRS. Immediately after law school, JoAnne clerked for the late Honorable Judge John H. Hannah, Jr., chief judge of the U.S. Eastern District Court of Texas. She is a licensed CPA and worked at KPMG Peat Marwick in Austin, prior to attending law school.

Neha Paymaster
PARTNER

BIO

Neha Paymaster is a Partner at Eccles, McIntosh & Paymaster, PC.  She first joined the firm in 2011 as their assistant. After attending law school, she rejoined the firm in 2016 as an associate attorney and became a Partner in 2026. 

 

Her practice is focused on Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts and Guardianship. Neha assists clients in drafting Wills, Trusts, Disability Documents, Marital Agreements and Family Settlement Agreements. She aids clients through the probate process and helps them navigate their role as the personal representative of an estate. She works with both Dependent and Independent Administrations; however, she feels especially pulled to handle those Dependent Administrations that involve minor children. Neha is certified to handle guardianship cases in Texas. She works with clients to determine when a guardianship is necessary and assists guardians in fulfilling their duties as guardian of the estate and/or person. Neha also serves as an Attorney ad Litem on Heirship and Guardianship cases in Travis County.

 

Neha previously served as the Chair of the Estate Planning & Probate Section of the Austin Bar Association. She currently serves on the Board of the Travis County Women Lawyer’s Association as the Mentoring Program Co-Chair and as a board member of Family Eldercare. 

 

When she is not working, Neha enjoys spending time with her husband Kyle and their 1.5-year-old son, Kayden, traveling and trying out new restaurants, breweries and wineries in the Central Texas Area. She aspires to one day have more time to DIY projects at home.

Heliana Onomo
Associate

BIO

Heliana Onomo first joined Eccles, McIntosh & Paymaster, PC in 2022 as a law clerk while attending law school. After becoming licensed as an attorney in October 2024, she transitioned to her role as an associate. She focuses her practice on probate, guardianship, and estate planning. She also serves as an Attorney ad Litem in heirship cases in Travis County.
